Digital CVI
At Honest-1 Eagan West, we want each of our customers to fully understand the condition of their vehicle before they make any decisions regarding recommended maintenance or repairs. To do this, we perform a Comprehensive Vehicle Inspection (CVI) and send the results to the customer digitally by email and/or text. Some of our customers think of this as their vehicle's "health check" or "report card".
We code each item that was inspected as red, yellow or green to give the customer a complete "digital report card" on their vehicle. If the customer wants to get some additional input from a friend or relative, the digital CVI can be forwarded. In some situations the report includes an informational video related to the recommendation. And, the Services section our website contains dozens of educational videos to help our customers make informed decisions.
We use "red" primarily for urgent conditions that could lead to a safety issue or vehicle breakdown. We are strongly recommending that the customer address these items immediately. "Orange" ratings are generally maintenance items that are recommended, but not urgent. These recommendations could be based on either the actual condition we have found, or the OEM recommended maintenance schedule. With this information, our hope is that the customer can effectively plan/budget to take care of these items at some point in the near future. Lastly, "green" items means that the item that was inspected was found to be in proper working condition.
In addition to the red/yellow/green codes, we can also attach photos, videos or animations to the report to help the customer further understand our recommendations. In summary, the Digital CVI is a critical part of our brand promise to treat our customers with honesty and integrity in everything we do.
